Montecito Sequoia 2010

This is the my third year as 'artist of the week' at Montecito Sequoia Family Summer Camp. It's really a fabulous place! I taught 'sketching and watercolor: journal style' every morning for two classes, then husb and I  participated in any of the activities. This year, I tried archery for the first time. We canoed, hiked, attended cooking classes, danced, sang along. I also did some arts & crafts, including tie dye and painted boxes. All in the beautiful setting of Sequoia/Kings Canyon National Park.
These are the 5x7" pages I did in my morning classes. Plein aire, of course!

  9. Oh Jane, your trees are fab! I really love the one from the "view from the deck" The Irish eyes are lovely too. Rudbechia grow well in Denver and the green eyed are my favorites over the black eyed It sounds like you all had lots of fun.

  11. Hi Jane, one of these days we will meet. I love your blog and FeedBlitz notices. I send your journal ideas to my granddaughter after I made her a journal with fabric paper. You are inspiring. Could you tell me how you like Feedblitz and if it is easy? I could not get to you by the "Contact" your link on your blog... so had to run it past you this way.. I enjoy your travels, such fun! vivian

  13. Beautiful page. The fact that you drew a pinecone with 'reads' well is truly impressive. The page with the negative space/written area in the center? Brilliant. Nice job Jane.
